1.1 Towards intelligent materials that instruct, sense and respond to biology

Design and synthesis of intelligent biomaterials employing various functionalities to be used as extracellular matrix (ECM) niches. The aim is to develop materials that actively sense and appropriately respond to their biological environment.

1.2   Digitalizing life at the interface

A computational high throughput approach to understand and subsequently manipulate cell-material interactions. This will lead to the development of new biomaterials with precise control of material properties.
