Congress of the European Society of Biomechanics

Welcome to ESBiomech23: Maastricht

This site is in development, we will have more details about this conference in the next few days.

We look forward to seeing you all again in 2023!

We are pleased to announce the 28th Congress of the European Society of Biomechanics  that will be held in Maastricht, The Netherlands July 9 -12, 2023. The theme of the conference is “Combining data- and knowledge-driven modeling: from measurements, through insights to decisions” endorsing the importance of the integration of mechanistic experimental and computational biomechanics with upcoming data-driven modeling.

In line with the theme we warmly invite traditional ESB congress visitors as well as new students and professionals active in the interdisciplinary field at the interface of biomechanics, data science, and clinical research.

Along with the oral and poster presentations the conference will host dedicated workshops, exhibitions, and events to learn about and discuss new ideas, developments, and applications and build networks between academic, clinical, and industrial researchers. To achieve this, we will make use of the excellent possibilities provided by the conference venue (MECC) and the beautiful ancient city of Maastricht where this venue is located.

The formal call for abstracts is open now and abstracts then can be submitted through our Conference Tool http://www.conftool.com/esb2023 until January 31, 2023.

Of course you can already start preparing your abstract. The template for abstracts can be downloaded from here.

The call for Perspective talks is now closed.

A Perspectives talk is a ‘mini-keynote’ with focus on a cutting edge, coherent body of research and should give a brief overview of results and unanswered questions, based on your own and your group’s contribution to this field.
