Biofabrication 2021 Australia
Biofabrication 2021 Australia
BIOFAB ONLINE (BYE BYE BEACH!)
INVITATION FROM THE CONVENOR
On behalf of the Local Organising Committee, I’m thrilled to invite you to join us for Biofabrication 2021.
While we were hoping to hold the first ever ISBF Conference in Australia and showcase global advances in bioprinting, the continually evolving global situation means we are unable to welcome you to our warm, sunny shores in September, and we now have the honour of hosting the first-ever Biofabrication Conference online!
Our conference theme – Collaborate and Celebrate – will highlight the importance of an interdisciplinary approach to research featuring different scientific and engineering skills to solve clinical challenges, coupled with critical examination of impact on ethics, regulations and the development of appropriate commercialisation models to ensure translation.
The conference will feature a number of special sessions that emphasise the emerging commercial opportunities arising in 3D bioprinting and the role Australia can play in this industry, with strong engagement from local and global clinical networks. We also look forward to showcasing our local Australian sophisticated and well developed eco-system that supports industry collaboration and excellence, including the University of Wollongong which has earned its place among the top universities in the world through its world-class research and teaching.
Our plenary speaker line-up from around the globe is diverse and will engage and excite everyone with an interest in the latest innovations in biofabrication research, with a key focus on clinical implications and opportunities for our field. We will also host an online poster gallery to offer networking opportunities from the comfort of your own desk!
So, for now, put away your swimmers, hat and sunscreen, and we’ll see you online in September!
