Awardees MDR Young Talent Incentives 2022 announced!

The new awardees of the MDR Young Talent Incentives 2022 were notified in the beginning of July.
We congratulate 3 winners this year:
Dewy van der Valk (TU/e) – “Mechanistic Insights for Calcification in Material-Driven in situ Tissue Engineering”
Marta García Valverde (UU) – “Melt-electrowritten patterned membranes to guide iPSC-to-podocyte differentiation”
Simon van de Wakker (UMCU) – “Studying differential composition of progenitor cell-derived extracellular vesicle subpopulations using imaging flow cytometry”
Among the top candidates was Zeynep Karagöz (MERLN) with her project “A novel multiscale computational model to understand mechanically driven fibroblast to myofibroblast transition with a future prospect to wound healing”, but she turned down the MDR Young Talent fund as she was awarded at the same time with a fund from the European Society of Biomechanics for this project. Congratulations for you too Zeynep!
We look forward to see many exciting results coming from these projects in the upcoming year!
