Prof. Jan de Boer receives Human Frontier Science Program (HFSP) research grant
Jan de Boer and collaborators have received a Human Frontier Science Program (HFSP) research grant worth more than one million euros to study the mechanisms that cells use to build the Golgi complex.
They plan to let stem cells grow on surfaces with specifically designed patterns, which makes sure that the cell nucleus and Golgi system are separated. Using laser surgery, they will cut away the Golgi complex from the cell and subsequently observe what action the cell takes to rebuild the Golgi complex. Read more
Congratulations Jan!
