‘nieuwe nieren’

Today, February 23rd, the stories of patient Desirée and her research physician Maaike van Gelder and Professor Marianne Verhaar will be put online. With these stories you can follow a real-life example of impact that kidney disease has on the daily live of a patient, and what we can do within regenerative medicine for the future of these patients. An artificial kidney, or kidney organoids, are topics which will be discussed.

Also other researchers will be interviewed, for example Fjodor Yousef Yengej and Bas van Balkom, in which they will explain their research and how it will help the patient in the future.
