Royal distinction for Bert Meijer
On the 28th of February 2020, Bert Meijer has been appointed Commander of the Order of the Netherlands Lion. The chivalric order is open to “eminent individuals from all walks of life, including, among others, professors and leading scientists, industrialists, and renowned artists”. Meijer is a world-leading top scientist in organic chemistry and received the royal distinction for his pioneering research on supramolecular polymers.
